We have some undesireable residents that have moved in and are causing some problems in McIntyre.  We had an incident yesterday with a teenager being hit with a brick because he looked at these other guys the wrong way.  This started last week with these guys trying to intimidate the other teenager and yesterday it escalated with the teenager being being attacked.  Neighborhood Watch was at the scene along with CMPD.  Talk to your children, especially your teenagers, to be very careful.  These guys also congregate in our Park at different times.  We need to get these people out of our community so as always, we need everyone's help.  There is also a car that has been scene several times around, it's possibly an old grey monte carlo vehicle with three or 4 black males riding in it.  This vehicle has been reported to CMPD because it was scene casing a house on a dead end.  Please be aware of your surroundings.  If you see this vehicle anywhere, do not hesitate, call 911 and let them know this is not the first time being reported.  Give them specifics, when did you see it, make of car, who's in car, where scene.

You don't have to give your name or address.  Spread the Word to other residents.  We need everyone to be proactive.  We're not going to tolerate this and neither should you.  If it's a particular house in the Community, report it to Pinnacle Management, they can take action on that Homeowner.  The more that CMPD gets called out, the more drive arounds we'll get and they can catch these guys.  Due to the urgency and well being of the safety of the residents and our Community, a new Safety measure is being implemented.  You will see something new within the next two weeks.

Thanks for the update and I will definitely be on the look out for these individuals.  I think this goes back to the fundemental issue that has been raised time and time again - gated entry.  Have we considered the installation of a gated entry system at both entrances of the community?  I fully understand that there are costs associated with the implementation of this, but I am sure that the benefits supercede the costs.  Your thoughts would be appreciated......

The original post said that there are some undesirable residents that have moved in.  Gated entrances aren't going to improve the quality or behavior of the residents that live here.

I have lived in a gated entry community and its more of a headache than anything.  The gates were always malfunctioning and it was easy to get it even though you were not a resident.  Gates give you a false sense of security.  If people want to commit crimes in this development a gate will not stop them.

If the undesireable people mentioned in the post above are minors I think the parents/gaurdians need to be held responsible.  I have seen so many disrespectful kids in this community and it all needs to start with the parents.
