McClaren Mill Condominium Association

The board of McClaren Mill Condominium Association is calling a meeting for Saturday, March 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Janice Hoover?’s loft (#9).

The following topics will be discussed:

1. Review the painting contractor?’s bids for painting the windows and refurbishing the doors. (good job Virgil)
2. Review of our insurance policy. Blair has had a conversation with one of the principles of Smith and Little. We will also be reviewing a bid from Phoenix Associates.
3. We have some concern about our roof and gutters since our last rainstorm. We will have a status report from a reputable roofer.
4. Historical district status.
5. The Sessions Street parking lot.
6. Other issues

Action that has been taken on other matters:

1. Jim Burnside will be contacting Robert Bowden this week to move forward with having our faulty windows replaced.
2. The association currently is paying BFI $400 a month for twice a week for garbage pickup. Waste Management has a similar bin that will cost us $125 a month for twice a week pick up. Jim is determining through BFI if we have a standing contract. If we don?’t, we will be changing services soon. Steve has agreed to pay $30 a month of that $125 for his additional refuse. Thanks Steve.
3. The association has informed Peachtree Heating and Air Conditioning that they are authorized, base on your feed back, to be the servicing company for our HVAC units. You should be hearing from them soon regarding the next scheduled service.
4. We have had a problem with trucks delivering material to Gaffey Construction on Sessions Street. The 18-wheelers, when backing into the yard, drive over our sidewalk and then into the grass. Joe Ivey has consistently repaired this damage at no charge. We have been in discussions with the General Manager of Gaffey who has agreed to pay for the latest incident. The bigger issue is what can we do to prevent this in the future. Your suggestions are welcome.
5. We have been unable to reach our auditor to determine the status of our audit. Our goal is to have the results to you at the next meeting.

Lastly, come with a list of items for a Spring Clean-Up day.
