Would anyone like to serve on a Beautification Committee?

Some neighborhoods select the best lawns, the prettiest flowers, the neatest yard, and otherwise encourage everyone to maintain their house and yard.

Or maybe the committe could be in charge of spending Association money to decorate the entrances during the Christmas season?

If you would like to participate or have ideas, let your Association President know.

I live in Jacksonville, FL, but visit your great area in the fall. As I was looking for new ideas for our website, I noticed your request for"Yard of the Month" members and thought you might like to know some of my thoughts as they relate to our Greater Englewood section.
At our next meet, I will make a motion to not have Y of the M during Dec., Jan., and Feb. These are the months when citizens don't do much in their yard. In its place I would like to have a Volunteer of the Month. Why select a yard just to select a yard?, if you know what I mean. This gives you a chance to honor members for their work all year and gives volunteers a break during the Xmas season. If you we have the time, you could honor the best Xmas display in December. I hope this might give you some of our experence in this area.
