The Fraternal Order of Eagles ("FOE") will host their 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off.  Their address is:  8500 Arturo.  Entry Fee is $15.00 - See attached Flyer for more info.

Community Garden Celebration

When: Saturday November 21st 1-3pm
The actual groundbreaking is at 2:00 at 7446 East Grand.
Where: Mexico Lindo 7515 E Grand Avenue, across from the Promise of Peace Garden site.

Join us in celebrating the launch of The Promise of Peace
Community Garden benefitting the Eudardo Mata Elementary
School and of the Woodrow Wilson community here in East
Dallas.

The increasing importance of creating a safe haven for students
in this area, and awareness of locally grown food is our focus
for this event.

Celebration includes:

• Education on seed planting, and just what to do with all of those vegetables!
• Fun Crafts for children; Garden pot and rock painting.
• Musical entertainment
• Sponsor a plot for one of 10 Mata Elementary families.
• Plant, seed, and rain barrel donations needed.
