The Little town that could...

With a population of a little over 100 souls, the town of Lamont is moving forward with the 2008 Pheasant Phestival July 12, and continues to have community prayer and regularly-scheduled meals together in the new community center.

What is the Coffee Club of Lamont?

In a word, a 'Refuge'.

A place to settle in to a deep, comfortable couch and read a book while sipping a fresh cup of your favorite hot drink.

A place to sit around a table and talk with a neighbor, friend or relative over that another hot, steaming cup.

A place to drop off your surplus produce and pick up some you may need for that special dinner recipe.

A place to listen to original, local musical talent over another hot flavorful cup.

A place to exchange your used for a 'new-to-you' book, tape, or magazine.

A place to sit in the shade of an 'old oak tree' and contemplate the universe or even more complicated things, like how to make a wife happy.

A place to plant a little plot of soil and reap the end-of-season garden benefits.

A place of encouragement.
A place of common Christ-ian fellowship
A place of uncommon joy.
A place of special peace.
