Grass-roots initiative to improve and develop the communities of Lincoln and Madison Park, Plant City, Florida. Projects include the restoration of the Bing-Rooming House, a National Historical Site anchoring the future Laura Street Business District.
During the month of August 2005 we celebrate the groundbreaking for restoration of the Bing Rooming House. A former boarding room that served minorities during the period of segregation in Plant City.
Revitalization of the Laura Street African American Business District. Now to be titled, ''Laura Street Historical District.''
