Hungarian Village Society

Hi everyone-

Is there already a group who helps clean up or TRY and keep our neighborhood alleys/streets clean?  I get so frustrated to try and keep my house nice when the rest of the my street tend to not care to keep the trash in the dumpsters.  Or, when the dumpster divers come, they never clean up after themselves.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Would anyone be willing to maybe pick a block that they try and keep clean etc? 

I've recently had my garage broken into and have a great security system that includes cameras, but it doesn't seem to scare them away.  I've tried writing notes and putting them on the dumpsters to find there is still just as much trash.  It's sooo frustrating!  

I'm aslo very interested in getting involved in any type of block watch tc as well.

There is a meeting this WEdnesday at  7PM at the Hungarian Church located at the corner of Woodrow and Washington.

We do litter cleanups all summer (along with porch parties) and are involved with Keep Columbus Beautiful, the PRIDE center at South Side Settlement.
