Homeowners,

I hope that each and everyone of you had a very happy Thanksgiving.  I just wanted to update you on some things that has happen in the Neighborhood over the past few weeks.

1. The common area on harwood landing and falling stream has been completed and new trees added.

2. The dead end next to the revine on Bur Oak and Falling stream all debri has been removed and weeds cut down so that grass will be able to grow in the spring. We do have common problem for that area homeowners are throwing trash and everything else into that area please do not do that.  That is considered illegal dumping.

3. I know everyone has noticed that their is no lights at the front entrance. Duke power was contacted and we have found that their is not power going to that area for whatever reason and they will investigate and get it repaired.

Just as a reminder: Please follow all speed limit sign some homeowners are still going faster than 25 miles per hr.  Parking on the street has gotten better, but their is a few that continue to not follow the rules.  Just because you get off late at night does not authorize you to park on the street.

Thank you for the update.

Hey Connery, has there been any progress in the efforts to get KB to repair or replace the railing that runs along the sidewalk near the end of Harwood Hills?  Last opportunity I had to look at it, it was becoming even more rusty and dilapidated and represents not only an eyesore for the community, but also a safety hazard.

On a related note, KB should also be requested to fix the drainage along this same section of the sidewalk (this would be the section on your left if you are standing on Harwood Hills facing towards Falling Stream).  Every time that it rains, this section of sidewalk becomes flooded, and the rain washes a lot of mud onto the sidewalk that never goes away.  This is obviously the result of poor grading and construction, and KB should be forced to fix this (or maybe this is the City's responsibility at this poing?).

No work was done to the common area beside my property on 2517 Harwood Hills Lane. This area was not seeded a few weeks back nor has it been maintained by those responsible. We have spotted snakes in the area and a copperhead was seen beside my home over the summer. I would appreciate it if this issue could be addressed.
