The Old Englewood Stage Stop where stage coaches stopped and drawn horses were put up for the night is located on the northwest quadrant of South Acoma St. and West Bates Ave. The historic house still stands, and up Acoma St. to the east are the original horse shelters which were later converted into residences as well. These structures were built in the mid to late 1800's.
