Last night, I took and passed the FCC amateur radio General class license exam! Thanks so much to you and Phil for organizing the study group for this license upgrade effort.
It took time and effort for everyone, the organizers and the ''students'', but it was well worth the effort. I don't know that I would have done this on my own. Probably would have coasted along with the Tech rating that I got in Nov 2006. But being part of the group took a lot of the ''fear'' and ''dread'' of getting into this new field and the ''deeper water''. The diversity of knowledge and experience in the study group was astounding. Yet the atmosphere was friendly, non-threatening, fun, and no one seemed to have an ego that intimidated or demeaned anyone. So great to find a ''Lord High Elmer'' and ''Lord Elmer'' to help us along the path to greater knowledge.
