The women in our community have their own organization. We will include a link to their site. Among other things, they assist residents with much needed services. The C.O.P. is managed and operated by the City of Houston Police Department. They tell us how to run it, otherwise we are volunteers. NO-ONE pays us for our time; buys gas, or pays for upkeep on our autos. We donate this of our own free will, to keep the incidents of crime and drugs low in our subdivison: and we beleive it does, even if there are some who disagree. Just look at the police crime report for the last six months. Crime is not out but compared to others it is way low. This is how we would like to keep it,or better. Starting Oct. 16 the Police are going to start issuing citations for not clearing the intersection when the light changes !! They say that you should be sure you can clear the intersection before you enter it. If the light changes and you are left setting in the BOX they are going to issue citations. This is a new LAW going into effect OCT.16 per Chief Bradford.
