Last year Mike expressed interest in doing a neighborhood egg hunt at the park. I had just moved in and wasn't ready to dive into anything, but if there is an interest again this year, I am interested. I have a neighbor who also expressed interest in helping and she suggested a Doggie Dress-Up Parade, too.

Any thoughts?

Our meeting in feb is a good time to get a vote for support- the board will meet in Jan and I will get a board member to help you out and be the board contact.We started this in our first year and later ran into scheduling problems as spring break and Easter had so many families away that no one could take part. You might check the dates for any conflict with school break - one year we substituted a weekend after Easter and had a frisbee game / scavenger hunt in the park instead.We may still have some of the frisbees - An Easter egg hunt would be fun and we could have a doggie parade also- we need to run it by the parks dept and let them know. I will handle the press for the event if you want to chair the committee with a board member.

Good Idea...

That is a great idea. I am sure others with young ones will love it too. I would check with parks like Lee suggested. Maybe an area merchant could be contacted to 'sponsor' and help with costs for eggs and candy.

A few games like balancing an egg with a spoon while walking and the bunny hop could be fun too!

Plan for success! Easter is April 8.

Schools....

School is only out the Friday, so it is a 3 day weekend, but it isn't being tied into a longer school break.
