“National Night Out 2012”
The New Castle County Police Citizen Advisory Councils are proud to, once again, announce their participation in the 29th Annual National Night Out. This event, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, will take place on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Glasgow Park on Route 40 in Newark, DE. In past years, over 36 million people have participated nationwide.
The goal is to:
1. Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
2. Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs.
3. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
4. Send a message to potential criminals that neighborhoods are united and organized against crime.
The New Castle County Police, along with the valued volunteerism of the New Castle Police Advisory Councils and CPAW (Crime Prevention Area Watch), are organizing a widespread celebration for this event.
