Pool Closing

In mid-August the Health Department closed our pool. It seems that the drains in the deep end of the pool are too close together. To remedy this situation covers need to be put bigger covers on the kiddy pool drain and pressure valves on the pumps for the big pool.

Our pool company has tried very hard to get the parts needed so the pool could be reopend for Labor Day. Because of the new rules for pools, many pool supply companies are having trouble keeping up with the demand and part are scarce. In essence this means our pool will not get fixed in time for Labor Day, so will close for the season.

Let's hope the Health Department can get it together and tell us what we need to be in compliance before the summer 2007 season opens so we will not have to close early again.
