Fox Canyon Neighborhood Association, Inc.

A Message From Councilmember Jim Madaffer

Mar 09, 2002

As your Councilmember, I look forward to working with you on issues and items of importance to Fox Canyon. I am very familiar with Fox Canyon and know many of the residents, having been part of the District Seven' office for quite a few years.

Already we are getting things accomplished. A neighbor recently contacted me about ponding on driveways on Lantana Drive and Castle Avenue. The street surface was too high because of several coats of slurry seal, which had raised the level of the street. We quickly arranged to solve the problem by having the street ground down to the proper level and we will have the streets resurfaced in the near future. Another neighbor wanted to know about sidewalks. I?’m pleased to announce that sidewalks will be installed this summer in the 4900 to 5000 block of Auburn Drive and will be completed in the fall. These are examples of how we can work together to solve problems using common sense solutions.

What is in store for Fox Canyon? Community leaders, residents and I have come up with a list of immediate concerns such as code enforcement, parking, sidewalks, trash, storm drains, street lights and ridding the canyons of drugs, graffiti and trash.

I want to hear your thoughts about these and other topics that are important to you. Please contact me by calling (619) 236-6677, or sending email to Jim@cd7.sannet.gov or sending mail
to 202 C Street, MS 10A, San Diego, CA 92101.
