SAFETY:The sooner the better
Snouffer Road RR is an extreme hazard! The road grade to the tracks restricts any visual view of traffic conditions on the other side of tracks. What results is family vehicles getting trapped onto the tracks with stopped cars in front and stopped traffic behind you. My family has witnessed this consistently over the last eight years and experienced it several times personally. We learned quickly to leave many car lengths between our vehicle and the one before us when approaching the tracks.
Also, the main concern is the school children form Perry Middle School which cross that track daily. We nearly lost five students a year and a half ago from the students crossing inappropriately and not seeing or hearing the trains! Hard to believe but TRUE.
Fix this hazard before someone tragically dies. Please, widen the crossing, make a legal safe crosswalk for the children, widen the road for Fire trucks to get through, and protect the citizens driving on this crossing.
If we can add those signals at the crossing this would definetely help the traffic of both pedestrian and vehicular.
