DEL REY NOTES

'Del Rey' translated in Spanish is defined as

'of the King'.

History:

• Southeast of Washington Blvd. & Lincoln was once considered home to dairy farms.


• In the early 1900's, was the Circus wintering grounds for Al G. Barnes trained animal circus.


• At one time had a greyhound racing track at the northeast corner of Washington and Lincoln Blvds. which was so lucrative, Culver City stretched its boundary west just to include it.
