1 person dead following shooting near south Charlotte light rail station, police say

Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, Medic said they responded to South Boulevard near Archdale Drive for a shooting.

When Medic arrived they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound and they were transferred to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said on Monday they were investigating a homicide that happened off of South Boulevard.

Details about the shooting were not immediately provided. It was not immediately clear whether any arrests were made.

There is constant crime and murders in Charlotte.
