From one of our neighbors among others drustrated by the confusion but the Mayor and others are trying to resolve

Just a note about the confusion many of my neighbors (and I) had concerning Street Cleaning schedule.  I barely moved my car in time when I heard the street cleaner, but many of my neighbors did not and received tickets.
We were under the impression that since 1) Monday was a holiday/Memorial Day and 2) Trash collection is scheduled for today instead of Thursday because of Memorial Day the street cleaner would not come.  Suspect that there will be many car owners contesting the tickets they were issued today.

Suggestions range to no Monday cleaning to prevent holiday messing up schedule.

Some ideas are to clean one day period and if rain, thee same day followup the next week on the same day

Signs in some areas are apparently wrong

On the official City calendar - http://www.pawtucketri.com/documents/calendar/City_of_Pawtucket_Annual_Calendar.pdf - it shows "Street Sweeping" (but doesn't specify where). I called the police department the day before just to make sure, and they said there was no delay due to Memorial Day. I seem to recall there was a delay in April for Good Friday, or was it May for Rhode Island Independence Day?
