New E-mail list for Crestview Residents

Join an e-mail discussion group made up only of people who live in the Crestview neighborhood. Think of this as a “virtual fence” over which you can meet and talk to neighbors, share ideas, and exchange useful information.

For those of you who have been on e-mail lists before, you know how valuable it can be to network with others, be able to ask a question to a group of people who will know the answer or learn about/or post a local event or offer.

The best part of a list like this one – set up for neighbors to speak with neighbors – is the opportunity to get to know more about our neighbors.

The opportunities are endless - so join us today!

In case you aren’t sure how such a list would work, here is some more information.

Contact Beth Ryan with any questions you might have.

1. Sign up - Membership is free, but you do have to subscribe.

Go to the following website to learn more: http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/crestview-chat.

2. You post a message to the list by using the following e-mail address –

crestview-chat@bethryan.com

3. The message arrives in members mailboxes – you can receive the messages individually or all at once at the end of the day (referred to as a digest).

4. The member list is NOT public – so only the moderator will have access to all of the names on the list.

5. The list software will not allow attachments, SPAM or viruses so you don’t have to be concerned with the safety of joining this list.

6. The list members are all neighbors living in the Crestview neighborhood – however this list is NOT a part of the Crestview Neighborhood Association.

7. The list is a friendly, low traffic e-mail list designed to give neighbors access to communicating easily with one another.

8. You don’t have to post anything to be a member of the list. If you haven’t been on an e-mail list before, you can sign up and just read the posts – this is called “lurking” - and then once you feel more comfortable, you can post something.

Give it a try! We look forward to seeing you on the list!
