The GPD has an interactive map for the location of sex offenders.It can be found on the city of Garland web site . Go to the department and chose police, then look for interactive map. As always, some offenders will not show up.There are various reasons such as the offender not reporting their address,someone who has completed a sentence at a time that registration was not required, having the DA and judge not require registration in the past and other reasons.However, it is a good guide to follow and make decisions on how to alert children to not visiting a home or to follow through on supervision on the block at school and summer break times.
