I've visited a good friend who lives on Shrewsbury several times in the last month and it appears that the address 19457 Shrewsbury has been turned into a ''halfway house'' or group home. Several men were seen being escorted into the house in January, and have since been spotted around the house and one even demanded the truck of one of the neighbors. Renee Baker of Barbara Rose Collins' office has been notified and the deed is being researched to contact the owner about these concerns. This is a very serious matter, especially since Sherwood Forest is not zoned for this, and there are children in the neighborhood. You can contact Renee Baker to voice your concerns at 313-224-1274. Being relatively new to the metro area, my wife and I have been looking into settling in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood. This discussion board offers a great insight into the neighborhood and its challenges. Please let me, and other potential residents, know how this particular issue has been resolved. Thank you!
