Does anyone know of any plans for the former Lafayette Park market? I think it would be great if the community started a food co-op there. We really need a market.

The Lafayette Task Force, REAL(Riverfront East Alliance, and other residents of Lafayette Park have met with Mr. Wiliam Watch, First Commerical Realty, who owns the shopping center regarding a supermarket. At this time, no interest in a market for the shopping center. Proposals for a Trader Joes, Good Food, Whole Foods, have declined citing low residential status. By J. Givens |
