The Board of Directors of The Highgate Townhomes THOA, Inc.
Meeting Minutes
March 26, 2009
Opening:
The first meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors of The Highgate Townhome THOA, Inc. was called to order at 8:15 p.m. on March 26, 2009 at the home of Lydia Johnson by Johnetta F. Bushell.
Present:
Newly elected Board of Directors: Johnetta F. Bushell, Gladstone Nicholson, Lydia Johnson
Highgate Homeowners Guest: Yvonne Nicholson and Alana Serrette
In keeping with The By-Laws of The Highgate Townhomesowners’s Association, Inc.(Article VIII, Officers and Their Duties in the by-laws) and Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Highgate Townhomes (A subdivision of “The Enclave at Gross Lake”) the newly elected Board of Directors held it’s first Board of Directors Meeting following the Annual Meeting (Special Election Meeting) to elect officers. The election was as follows:
Lydia Johnson President
Gladstone Nicholson Vice President
Johnetta F. Bushell Secretary/Treasurer

A. New Business
In addition to the duties and powers of each officer as stated in The Covenants and The By- Laws the following duties were assigned to each officer:
Lydia Johnson - Liaison to Attorney for The Highgate THOA, Inc. Weisman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, P.C. and TruGreen Landcare.

Gladstone Nicholson – Liaison to the homeowner community and website/Highgate communications

Johnetta F. Bushell – Liaison to Abacus Property Management, Inc and The Board of Directors of The Enclave at Gross Lake HOA, Inc.


B. Transition Period
Johnetta reported that she talked to Henry Williams the out-going President of The Board of Directors about the transition period. Henry assured Johnetta the he will email all vendors doing business with The Highgate the new Board’s information on March 27, 2009. Henry also offered The Board his assistants in the transition period.

C. Meeting with Abacus Property Management, Inc.
After Henry gives Abacus Property Management, Inc. the new Board’s contact information Johnetta will set up a meeting with them and The Board of Directors. We hope to meet with Abacus Property Management, Inc on April 16th or 17th 2009.

Adjournment:
Meeting was adjourned at 9:13 p.m. by Gladstone Nicholson. The next Board of Directors meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on April 1, 2009 at Lydia’s home.
