A Group of Concerned Homeowners

The very first thing we want you to know is that we are not The Highgate Board of Directors. We are a group of very concerned homeowners working together the make a changes in our community. If you are interested in working with us to bring about the changes that are so badly needed in The Highgate, please join us by signing the form attached to the handout "It's time for a change!" that our neighbors will be going around with door to door this next week. A copy of the form "It's time for a change" is also on this site. If you have any question please feel free to ask them on this site for all of our neighbors to view and we will answer all of your questions within 48 hours.
Thank you

It's time for a change!

As a group of concern Highgate Homeowners we have put together this request for a special meeting of the Highgate Homeowners Association to remove the present Board of Directors for the following reasons:

 The President and Treasure of The Board of Directors are in violation of the covenant Article IV, Membership and Voting Rights, 4.01 Membership and Voting Rights. Section (c), page 26-27 states in part “ The rights and privileges of membership, including the right to vote and to hold an office in the Highgate Association may be exercised by a member or the member’s spouse, but in no event shall more than one vote be cast nor more than one office held for each Highgate Lot.”
 Failure to perform their duties as stated in the By-Laws. One example is their lack of supervision of all agents and employees of this Association, and to see that their duties are properly preformed. The Board didn’t supervise the TruGreen landscaping company as they illegally dumped yard cuttings into our lake. This illegal dumping was a felony committed by TruGreen. TruGreen was fine by the county, there contract was terminated by The Enclave at Gross Lake HOA but, The Highgate Board still retain their services.
 True lack of communication between the Board of Directors and the homeowners
 No annual budget given to the homeowners at the last annual meeting in February 2008.
 No open elections for new Board members at the February 2008 annual meeting.
 Over all not following the Covenants and By-Laws of our community.

To make the changes, we need (¼ of the total community) 75 or more homeowners to request this special meeting to remove the Board of Directors. After we get the signatures of 75 or more homeowners and send the request to the Board of Directors for a special meeting to remove the Board, they have 5-7 days to mail out notices to each homeowner telling us the reason for the special meeting with the time and place of the meeting.
We must work together as a true community to get our neighborhood back on track and make it the great place to live once again. As the Highgate Community, yes we can make this change! Please visit the website of concerned home owners:
