2. Correction of Minutes – May 4, 2026

5. Off-Agenda Public Comment

  • Mary Otero - request San Diego Unified School district about maintenances around their own schools (invite staff)

  • Ozzy Meneses - mention FABA program start next week with have program for kids and parents

  • Maria Cortez and Denisse Lopez - Mention Rosa’s Ice cream about passing of Francisco and to support their business

  • Victor Ponce - Ask people to go out and vote

6.1. CHAPC Officer Selection

Election Results

  • Chair: Marcellous – 13 votes (Elected); Russ – 2 votes; Abstain – 1 vote

  • Vice Chair: Edwin – 16 votes (Elected)

  • Second Vice Chair: Ozzy – 4 votes; Nam – 11 votes (Elected)

  • Secretary: Angela – 1 vote; Denisse – 13 votes (Elected); Abstain – 1 vote

6.2. De-Channelization and Restoration - Federal Boulevard

  • Presenter: Amanda

    • Russ: repave Federal Boulevard after the project completed

    • Edwin: 8 million for face one and 4 million for face two

    • Mary Otero:Cost of maintenance after construction

    • Jennifer Hager: Who won the contract

    • Ozzy: Maintenance to have clean-up remove a canal that was concert

    • Patty: Segment 5

    • Jodee page: No impact of freeway and communication between two projects

Chair Comments

  • Expressed appreciation for the re-nomination and thanked Mary Ortego and Maria Lopez for their support.

  • An invitation will be sent to the community, including a Zoom option for those who wish to participate remotely.

  • Information about the Community Operations Workshop (COW) Training will be shared with the invitation.

  • The workshop link will be distributed so community members can register and participate.
