CHEVINGTON WOODS CIVIC ASSOCIATION
MINUTES OF MEMBERSHIP MEETING

June 19, 2006
Violet Twp Trustees Office
Pickerington, Ohio

Call to order: Secretary Snell called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. and noted that a quorum was present. There were seventeen (17) members in attendance. The CWCA member (lot owner) sign in sheets are on file and made a part of these minutes by reference.

During his opening remarks the Chair thanked the residents present for attending. He noted that President Comanita was not able to attend and that he had been asked to Chair the meeting. He noted that this was a called CWCA Membership meeting for the purpose of electing a Trustee for Area 14. It was also noted that Area 14 was the only Area where more than one candidate had been nominated and the remaining Area trustees had been elected or re-elected, as the case may be, without opposition.

Reading of the Minutes: The Chair called for the reading of the minutes of the last annual meeting held on October 10, 2005. Secretary Pro Tem Teresa Hartley read the minutes of the last annual meeting. The Chair called for amendments or corrections. Hearing none, the minutes were approved as read.

Teller Committee: The Chair then appointed the Teller Committee as follows:

Chairman: Tom Besser Area 10
Member: Becky Mazurek Area 4
Member: Barbara Tom Area 5

The Chair then turned over the ballot envelopes received via USPS and at the meeting to the Teller Committee. The Teller Committee then retired to a nearby conference room to count the ballots.

Treasurer’s Report: In the absence of Treasurer Briggs, Trustee Don Roeder read the Treasurer’s report that Treasurer Briggs had furnished him prior to the meeting.

Following the report questions were entertained from the members present. In response to a question from the floor, the Chair explained that a “contribution” of $50 was actually rent paid to the Holy Redeemer Church for use of the sanctuary for the annual meeting last October.

Old business: The Chair reported that the swing sets for the N. Reserve had been received and community volunteers would install them over the coming weekend.

He also noted that the streetlight that had been inoperative for years at the corner of Indian Mound and Copperfield (former Rozler residence) had now be repaired and was operating normally. He thanked new resident John Jenkins for his help in burying approximately 125 feet of underground electrical cable to make the repair.

New business: There was no new business brought before the members assembled.

Tellers report: The Chair noted the Teller Committee had returned to the meeting and asked the Chairman for the their report.

Chairman Besser reported that the votes were as follows:

Gina Stacy – 6
Lora Stevenson – 7

The Chair then declared Lora Stevenson was the duly elected Trustee to serve CWCA Area 14 for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2006 and thanked the Teller Committee for their service.

In response to a question from the floor, Trustee Don Roeder reported that the latest poll results as furnished by Treasurer Briggs prior to the meeting in regard to deed restriction enforcement was 168 “Yes” and 65 “No”.

Thereafter member Julie Squier moved to adjourn. The motion was duly seconded and passed without dissent. Meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
