Most everyone knows the lyrics ?“I am Woman - Hear Me Roar.?” Well, that?’s exactly what the women of Central City Alliance?’s Board of Directors are doing; using their education, business savvy and leadership skills to help revitalize the business district of Central City.

?“It wasn?’t an intention to have a board comprised of women only,?” said Laura Howard, President of CCA. ?“The ladies had the courage to step forward and accept the responsibilities of being on the board, they are doing a wonderful job ensuring CCA?’s success, I am very proud of the ladies and have learned a great deal from each.?”

When asked about Central City?’s men participating, Laura stated that the majority of men want to be on the Planning and Development Committee. ?“The men want to decide how Central City redevelops, which is great. Their input will only increase the revitalization momentum.?”

?“Our mission is to combat community deterioration, but CCA?’s board can not do it alone. It?’s going to take all the stakeholders of Central City to join forces to improve the community, I know the board can pull it together,?” said Laura.
