The Safer Homes/Safer Communities ?“Lights and Locks?” Program is an effort to help reduce crime and disorder in neighborhoods across the Empowerment Zone. Working in cooperation with The DNFI/Central Zone CP and the Detroit Police Department, CCA is working on implementing a safety lighting and motion detector venture in Central City. The first phase of the plan will initially focus on homeowners, landlords, renters, low-income residents and seniors, then expand to include businesses and commercial property. For residents to participate, you must be 18 years old or older and must attend a two hour workshop on Home Security.
