$2 Million Expansion

General Linen & Uniform Service, an 82-year old family owned company, is planning a $2M expansion. The new facility will be on the ?“cutting edge?” of washing and drying technology, and will feature a continuous washer system that is about 8 feet long and 14 feet high and will be capable of washing 200,000 pounds of laundry in 35 - 37 hours; it now takes 50 - 52.

?“We are constantly expanding our plant & warehouse facilities and we finished the building of our sales and service offices. We are also updating our computer systems and software as well. General Linen is on its way into the new technological mil-lennium,?” said Caryn Schulman, Executive Administrator.

General Linen & Uniform Service was recently featured in Crain?’s Detroit Business and look for a future article in TRSA?’s Textile Magazine.
