Louisville, KY (May 29, 2009) - The Department of Highways District 5 Office announces that the right lane of eastbound KY 1447 (Westport Road) will be closed between Thierman Lane and Hubbards Lane (mile points 0.72 and 0.92) to allow for water line installation as part of the Westport Road widening project.? This lane closure is scheduled weekdays from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. beginning June 1, 2009 until June 12, 2009.

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.?

From Our Mayor;

The Department of Highways District 5 Office announces that the westbound lane of Westport Road (Ky.1447) will be closed at the intersection with Thierman Lane (mile point 0.7) as part of the Westport Road widening project.  This lane closure is scheduled for August 05-19, 2009 to allow for drainage installation.

Motorist should follow the signed detour at this location.  The intersection of Thierman Lane and Westport Road will be signed as 3-way stop during this phase of work.
