ONCOR - I just want to say that my husband and I were just a little shocked to find out that someone had jumped our fence without our knowing to replace our electric meter.

We are so glad that our dogs did not get away when they opened our gate which was not locked when they left our property.  Supposedly ONCOR notified us that they'd be intruding our yard but we never received any notice.  Now we are hearing on the news that someone has shot at an ONCOR worker in Dallas, this doesn't surprise me.

So for those of you in Camelot that have a meter inside your fence area be aware that ONCOR is coming in with or without notifying you.

Any homeowner that values their pets, expensive grill or recreation equipment ought to secure their backyard gate.   A unlocked gate can be opened by anyone with either innocent or criminal intent.  If ONCOR is unable to access the backyard, they should have stayed out unless given access by the homeowner.  If ONCOR cannot access the backyard, they would issue a notice of disconnection which would hopefully get a response from the homeowner.  If the entry notice wasn't issued, homeowners should register a complaint to ONCOR and the Texas PUC.  The August 18th ONCOR shooting appears unjustfied in my view, but the grand jury will decide if charges will be filed against the homeowner.
