There are many stray and feral cats in the neighborhood, allowing them to roam free unspayed and neutered means more strays. We have been bothered by cat fights at night and have found kittens in our yard. Severral years ago we rented cat traps, then purchanced 2 in which I and neighbors have caught at least 20 caats and kittens, which we then call animal control or bring them to the Humane Society. had same problem in Sunnyhills
One of our members, Joe Byrne, took this on as his project and has a special interest in Feral cat problems. It took some time, but I think he has manage to rally the neighborhood to do something about it and at least from what I have seen the problem in our neighborhood is better than before.
