Welcome to Ridaught Landing Three!
Chief Ridaught, born 1706, died 1819, was a leader among the Choctaw Indian tribes along Rio Blanco in Northeast Florida. The early English settlers called this area Rideout and translated the Spanish name Rio Blanco (White River) into Black Creek.
The Rideout post office, store and ferry landing operated in this area from the late 1800's until 1960. The trails in Ridaught Landing are named in honor of a great Indian Chief and for the Indian tribes of the Southeast United States.(from the plat map of Ridaught Landing)
