Louisville Metro Development Review Committee (DRC), part of Planning & Design, have scheduled a Category 3 hearing beginning at 1:00p Thu 8Dec2005 at 514 W. Liberty St (Old Jail Building) regarding Bellarmine Stadium Docket #3-37-04 in response to the University's application. Belknap and surrounding neighborhoods request that this hearing be deferred until the University has met with and resolved issues of parking safety & disturbance fro noise, lighting & traffic congestion. A ''Good Neighbor'' Working Group is proposed.

Please plan to participate at the hearing, and/or encourage the DRC and Bellarmine to defer until the ''Good Neighbor'' Working Group can resolve the issues.

Public Hearing needed

The Bellarmine Stadium proposal is to be heard at the 1:00p Land Development & Transportation meeting on Thursday 8Dec2005. Since details of needs for detailed planning review of stadium are not able to be heard at this meeting, then it is important that neighbors be present at Thursday's meeting and request a public hearing of stadium plan at a future date. If this is important to you as a neighbor, then it is important that you personally participate in order to encourage Planning & Design to schedule a public hearing where details of proposed stadium can be resolved.

LD&T Grants Public Hearing

LD&T commissioners received 90 neighborhood petitions and granted an evening public hearing at 5:30p Thursday 5Jan2005 to hear additional input on technical issues relating to the Bellarmine stadium.

Public hearing for Bellarmine stadium begins at 5:30p Thu 5Jan2006 at the Old Jail Building (514 W. Liberty St). You neighbors and neighborhood leaders really need your support by your presence at the evening public hearing. However, if you are unable to attend and would like to be ''heard'', then you can send your comments to the case manager(s) by e-mail to be included in the record. Make sure you include the docket #3-37-04 ''Bellarmine stadium'' in the subject line and the body of the message.
