Algonquin Acres was established in 1959. Back then, Arapahoe Road was only 2 lanes and ended to the east of us at Parker Road, Jordan Road was not paved. We were truly out in the country. There was no shopping nearby and trains traveled on tracks along the east side of Jordan Road.
Valley Country Club was our only 'neighbor' and they too were established in 1959. Together, we have seen a few floods come though our area and a great amount of development around us.
In October 2004, our last vacant lot was developed. Arapahoe Road is over 8 lanes wide. We have many shopping opportunities and housing developments nearby and even a 24 hour ememergency center just south of our neighborhood. The train tracks no longer run along Jordan Road. In their place is the new development of Windmill Creek Reserve. Windmill Creek Reserve is currently under construction and many of the planned 30 or so single family units are now occupied.

The first house in Algonquin Acres was built in 1959. We are still building and making home improvements today! We have 76 one acre lots and our last lot was developed during 2004.
We continually strive to maintain a pleasant and safe neighborhood to live in.
We are volunteers in our community. We volunteer in our schools, local community and neighborhood to help make a difference. We range in age from newborn to senior citizen.
