Life in Brewer

Me and my son have lived in Brewer for about 5 years. He really enjoys it because there are lots of other kids around his age and plenty of safe space for them to all play in.
I have helped out with Residence Council for the past 3 years and we have done a lot of good things for the others who live here. I just wish more would take the initiative and join this opportunity. This is where you live and your children live, there must be things you'd like to talk about or address. There's still issues we are working on and big projects for the kids we're doing, and I can't wait for them all to come together. It's really exciting.

About Me

I am a 28-year-old, single mom, majoring in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Concentration, with an associates degree. I'm contemplating their Conservation Law associates too, since I want a career in Animal Welfare, with the Dept. of Agriculture. I also work 4 days a week at Bangor Raceway, as a head number horseman/woman, whichever :o) I love my job! Being around horses and people who love them as much as I do, is really a lot fun! And watching them race is exciting too! Because I loooove racing, anything! Except greyhounds, that's horrible!

About My Son

Bailey is 8 and the best kid you could ever ask for! He's a smart boy! His grades are excellent and even tho I have to brag, he's a bit more advanced in the 2nd grade than most. His reading level is at a 4th grade level and his math, WOW! I was never and still not a math type of girl! He can do it all in his head, in like 5-10 seconds! His penmanship we are working on. It's legible, but not very neat, but we're working on it :o) He likes to ride his bike, play baseball, and play video games with his friends.
