Our Move

We moved to Oak Cliff almost 3 years ago. Since I am from Oak Cliff, I convinced Jack to move from North Dallas to Oak Cliff. Our first week was a disaster for Jack. After putting the dryer vent in place, Jack plugged it back in and POOF, a spark flashed and started a small fire. The fire department came in with axes and wanted to tear out my walls. No way!! The next day Jack was moving his ''antique'' VW with a plug blown, and when he started it, it caught on fire. The fire department came quickly and put it out. We were ask if we were ready to move back to North Dallas. The next time we had to call 911 there were 2 cars in our front lawn and just inches away from my car. We are still here and happy to be in Oak Cliff.

Neighborhood

We love Kidd Springs. This is part of the REAL Oak Cliff. It is full of history and beautiful homes from the past. Our home was moved from just off Ross Ave, where the Fiesta Market is today, in 1945. Kidd Spring Park was a favorite palce for people to swim and play. The Lake was very cold and, according to my Dad was great on a summer day.

Present Time

Since moving here we are active in the comunity. Jack is the new President of the Kidd Springs Neighborhood Association and I am involved with Crime Watch. Kidd Springs neighbors work together to create a safer and more wonderful place to live.
