Our Family

Wayne & Marian met and married in Nashville, Tennessee, but Wayne is a native of California and Marian is back home in her native Kentucky, originally from Paducah. They have lived in Louisville since October 2004.

What We Do

Besides serving as former VP of the Shawnee Neighborhood Association, Wayne is also self-employed as a flooring installer and also does minor repairs, home inspections and other things on the side.

Marian is an options trader.  She also occasionally freelances by writing and designing marketing materials and business publications and has designed numerous PR pieces for District 5 and for the Shawnee Neighborhood Association. She serves as a captain of the Alpha Block Watch and Communications Chair for the SNA, updating their website and co-writing the newsletter.  She also submits articles & photos to the Courier Journal and gathers PR for Shawnee events.  In the past, she has served as a member of the District 5 Crime Prevention Council, Shawnee Weed and Seed Steering Committee, District 5 Advisory Committee, 2nd Division COPS Board (Secretary) and is a Sustaining Member of the  Junior League of Louisville.  She also was a member of the Community Advisory Group, which solicited community input on the Olmsted Parkway System in 2006.

Both Marian & Wayne are also active in a marriage ministry and attend Cathedral of the Assumption.

What We Like...

Since we are both so busy, we really enjoy some occasional downtime! When we're home, we continue working on renovating our 1925 home. We have a cat. Once in a while, we enjoy traveling and camping. Wayne's hobbies include watching a lot of the History Channel and his favorite sports are professional hockey, football and basketball (although Marian is training him to appreciate fine Kentucky collegiate basketball), and Marian enjoys knitting, gardening, reading, writing and watching movies.
