We ''100 Sober Men'' saw the need for more than the usual attention given to addictive persons in our community.

Our '''addictive community'' needs an intensive and extensive reintegration to become part of our ''recovery community''. This ''Community Reintegration'' program we propose will start during recovery and long after treatment. This is realistic. Length of sobriety is always measurable. Sober heads can be counted or discounted. This program has a ''wholistic approach'', but 'keeping it real.'

The transition ''is very frightful to many and impossible to some''. Relapses abound. The general public, along with family members, are oftentimes clueless. Our communities are just not fully aware of how many among us are recovered. We are many, we are law abiding, and we practice high moral principles. Believe me, if you think the crime rate is high now. What if all the people in our recovery community 'went back out' for 'one last run'? Please, go figure. Please, if you can, help those among us who try very, very hard to help others get free from addictions and stay SOBER.

Our philosophy and our beliefs are based on the fact of our experiences that a HIGHER POWER restores through a spiritual awakening or spiritual experience. In simpler terms, to some ''clarity'', some ''sanity'', some obvious evidence that we are peaceful ... content ...free. Now about Our ''critics'' - our familiar observers - they quickly applaud how we have 'changed'' for the better, with a sigh of relief.

Let's get to know at least 100 Sober Men and 100 Sober Women in our Metro community. Can you count to one-hundred? Let's get started. Here we go Metro! 1, 2, 3 ...
