At tonight's meeting the issue of participation at noncontrovrsial board meetings was discussed. The unfortunate fact is people don't have enough hours in the day to do everything they would like to. What if people could participate without leaving their chairs? we have this great website with a lot of potential. For under $100 the Board could get a webcam and provide streaming online video of meetings via this website. You could listen in and text or IM back comments in real time while you sit and balance your checkbook or watch TV. Technology is at its best when it breaks down barriers to communication, and I suugest this is one good way to do it.
