Zonta Club of Marathon

A Message from our President

Nov 17, 2004

Dear Fellow Zontians:

It is with mixed feelings that I share with you my resignation as President of the Zonta Club of Marathon. My husband and I are moving back to the Northeast. This decision to move was quite sudden and was for many reasons: (1) our first grandchild (Delanie Grace) recently joining our world and she lives in the Philadelphia areas, (2) my husband's business has increased beyond just internet availability, (3) we will be nearer to healthcare facilities if needed and (4) my family and long time friends are all located in the Northeast. We will be moving to Orange County, NY the first week in January 2005.

Zonta has been a very important and enjoyable part of my life in the Keys. You gave me many opportunities to learn more about the Zonta mission for which I am eterenally grateful. You all are wonderful women who have taught me so much about giving to the community in which we live. I will miss you all very, very much.

My last general meeting as President will be November 16, 2004. Bear and I will be attending our Zonta Christmas Party on December 11 and are looking forward to a festive evening. I do not believe in goodbyes. "I cannot say goodbye to those who I have grown to love, for the memories we have made will last a lifetime and never know a goodbye".

Sincerely,

Barbara T. Hollar
President
Zonta Club of Marathon
