Zonta Club of Marathon

We are a humanitarian service organization. Our primary mission is to encourage, foster and improve the lives of women and children in our community.


The Zonta Club of Marathon was chartered on May 6th, 1990 after being sponsored by the Zonta Club of Key West.


Charter President Diane Chaplin oversaw the beginnings of our club and by February of 1991 the Articles of Incorporation were completed. We are currently a 501 C3 tax exempt organization with the IRS and accept donations.

Goals of Zonta Club of Marathon

* Support community projects by working together to experience the satisfaction of making a personal contribution to improve the community.

* Support children within our community.

* Support educational programs to imporeve the quality of life for women.

* Support prevention of domestic violence through awareness, education and to eliminate abuse against women and children.

* Support local high school students via our scholarship programs.

* Support Marathon High School Z-Club to promote career exploration and encourage participation in community service projects.

* Support community women's health and development.
