I just read that you should never confront a suspicious person or vehicle. I did that last night and asked, "Can I help you?" because this guy was just sitting in his car parked at a curb in my neighborhood (outside my neighbor's house) with his arm hanging out. He was there for awhile and my mom didn't feel comfortable leaving my house, so I walked over to his car to see what's up.

It's definitely not the way to go because he said he's waiting for his friend (my neighbor down the street) to come out. I asked him what my neighbor's name is and he didn't know. So I knocked on my neighbor's door to ask them if they knew this guy and they said that they did. I told them it was suspicious-looking for the neighborhood and he didn't know their names either. I bid them farewell and my neighbor hollared at me, "he could of shot you." Well, I replied, "it's okay, I'm packing too."

What do you make of that???

PS - The neighborhood is Martin Place by I-10 and DIP.

It's a very safe neighborhood. I live next to a retired opthamologist. Next to him is a retired lawyer. Two doors down the other way is a retired Top Gun trainer. It's modest on the inner part of the neighborhood, mostly African-American families, some with young children that play in the streets and such.

We have neighborhood watch, meetings, and fund-raising sales at the church at the corner of DIP and McVay where you rent a table for cheap and sell your stuff. The proceeds go to improving the neighborhood entrance, "Martin Place" which the gas company pays for the gas lights and maintenance.

I have never had a problem. The neighbor I posted about fixes  people's cars and it was one of his customers I think.

It's all good.

Which house are you looking at?

I live on W Martin Dr on Dog River.
