Letters about yards, etc.

Posted in: Hunters Chase

How many people have received letters to mow your lawn? We are in a drought right now and you can actually cause damage if you cut the grass too short. Sure we have a couple of weeds here and there and plan on taking care of it. I would like our HOA to focus more on people who are violating even city codes such as storing an RV in their back yard (on Lost Lake). Just because we live off of Huntsman Rd, it seems like we are always getting letters about the trash can being left in front of garage or something stupid like that. Come on people. Where is our money going? The pool hours have been reduced again and our park is a joke. I cannot help but compare us to Hunter's Chase 2 where they have a nice pavilion, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, etc. Maybe we should have annexed Hunter's Brook. Tell me what you think??

Jerry Gerling, the new HOA President and his Board are working hard to improve our community. Improvements at the park include a pavillion, grills and picnic tables. The park property was donated to the HOA by KB Homes several years ago and it's all the space we have.

Pool hours were expanded a couple of years ago and the lack of attendance did not justify paying the lifeguards from your HOA dues.  Also, improvements at the pool are either completed or ongoing.

City code violations can be reported at phone #311.

Everyone was provided a copy of the deed restrictions when they purchased their home, and they provided a signed written agreement they would comply with them. Granted, lawns are stressed this year, but many people have not mowed their lawn for quite some time regardless of the weather.  And trash cans have blown into the street and damaged cars.

Please feel free to join our HOA Board of Directors. New members are always welcome with new ideas about how to improve our community.

Hunters Chase II has its fair share of problems too, to include vandalism at their HOA park.
