I would like to know if there is interest in getting some tree's planted along our streets. I think this would help beautify our neighborhood and add to it's overall charm.

Sounds like a great idea.. I really like the neighborhoods that have trees all along the streets. The only problem I can see with it is that technically it is the City's property. I think we would have to get permission from them first. Oh yeah, then the funds to pay for it... But I really like the idea.

I think this is something that we(as a neighborhood) should investigate. I see no reason why we couldn't allocate some of our excess funds toward this. We could do a few of the smaller phase's first then perhaps one phase per year after that - I'm pretty sure it would add more value to the neighborhood than the $8000 we so graciously spent on new locks for the pool area.

I have put a phone call into the City of Wylie to see what rules there are pertaining to this type of planting. As soon as I find out more information I will post it here.
