Well what do you know. I was best man at his brothers(earl)wedding.

I used to hang out at his old Bar in Ecorse on Southfield road.

Does anyone rememder the old Antoine & McKinley MKT.

How about Joe's Confectionary on the cornor of 2nd and Antoine or the candy store on the cornor of 2nd and Clark or Tony's across from the exchange Park and that ever so tiny candy store across the street from St. Elizabeth's?

Oh! YEAH! there was that small candy store in the 100 block of Davis!

But my favorite was the store next to Labadie school on the cornor of Goddard and Biddle with that small hamburger place right next to it.
They had COMIC books up the YING YANG.

The names right on the tip of my tongue,I even coached his son mike in football,baseball and basketball at St. Elizabeth's school.

If I could ever have a GROUND HOG YEAR over and over again,it would be 1952!

It didn't or doesn't get any better then that,for me anyway.

If I could have an adult ground hog year,it would be 1965.

I don't remember much of that night I was probably drinking earlier, I think Benny warned us to get down or something , I just remember being under a pool table with Tony S.and then heading east down Oak though the field by Toomers house, I never talked to the cops about any of it and in fact I missed the next 2 months of school because of a lung infection. Benny was kind of cool , But he was a scary guy, Them Frasca Brothers were a bit funny too.especially Pat. Westside was a place that our parents wouldn't of wanted us hanging out at, But saying we were going to the bowling ally didn't sound bad. Do you remember the old songs on the juke box in the Arcade,'' In Heaven They have no beer and ''A Jingle in My Pocket and Steve Miller's Clowns to the left of me song, That was the last night of Westside, They closed it after that. Wow! That was the first Bar I was ever served at, I was 16 years old, That was a rough place at times, lots of fights, James town was another of my favorites, with Charlie Simpson bouncing it was no place to fool around either, Same goes for Ahab's another Zoo! But I had a great time in all of them, Livin on the edge! LOL! remember Les's hideaway? KT
