I've lived in this nieghborhood for 11 years & the number of rental property has increased. While the up keep has declined. I was sent a letter about the meterials I put in the driveway area in my yard. while the house across the street has junk all over front & back. They mow the yard very seldom & the fence is torn down. There are always 10 to 20 kids hanging around & some of the kids say it's because they sell crack on the corner late at night.Is there anything we can do. More street lights, more police, cameras etc....

I understand your problems with the upkeep of the rental properties...believe me when I tell you that we get as frustrated with it as you are. We send letters to the landlord and the resident. Then we take it into our own hands and mow or clean up the property. I totally understand your disappointment! Plus, if you email me privately at mayor@worthingtonhillsky.org with your address, I can forward the drug info onto the police. Then they can watch the property next time they are on patrol in the late hours. Please, be patient with us. We are working hard to clean up the bad spots!!
