Wortham Oaks

Safety Committee

22 November 2008

Discussed and Agreed:

1. Speed Bumps: Discussed and decided to wait on the speed bumps until Gates are fully operational. Follow up: February’s Meeting.
2. Neighborhood Directory: Discussed and decided this would be a great idea. Suggested: Finding out who works from home or is at home during the day.
3. Neighborhood Watch: Email or Flier of who wants to join.

Questionable Items:

1. Speed Limit: What is it throughout the neighborhood? Suggested speed limit: 20MPH. **I saw a sign on Waldon Oaks and Southern Oaks- in front of the Model Homes 30MPH.
a) Send a letter to the community (neighbors and contractors)- abiding by the speed limits
b) Kid’s at play sign
c) Speed limit signs posted at every gate entrance
2. No Solicitation Signs: Approval to be posted at every gate entrance.
3. Neighborhood Watch Signs: Approval to be posted at every gate entrance.
4. Fencing Perimeters: What will be fenced in?
5. Sidewalks: Liability: when will the construction be completed?
6. Lighting and Bench approval for school children- Marc and Michael are going to find out if this is a Wortham Oaks approval or a Bexar
County Approval.
7. Painting the protruding Curbs- Approval for members of the committee or an outside vendor.

Non Safety Committee Topics: Questionable Items:

1. Watering Schedule: Trey said this was going to be adjusted.
2. Neighborhood Website
3. Lettering on Gate Entrances: Southern Oaks and Evans
