Woodlawn Heights Taxpayers and Community Association, Inc.

To all,
I am putting together a research project for Hunter College on the History of Woodlawn, and the Irish influence on the Neighborhood. I would like to speak to someone who has lived in Woodlawn for atleast 30 years. I would love to interview someone who could give me some insight as to the changes that have taken place in Woodlawn over the last 50 years. Please Email me back if you are interested.

Changes in Woodlawn

We hold a general meeting every second monday of the month at St. Barnabas Middle school cafeteria. The next meeting is on May 10th. The average age is over 60, so please feel free to join us. I'm sure you will find some residents who can assist you in your efforts.

My name is Diana and I have just moved into the neighborhood. My husband and I just became members of the Taxpayers Ass. I met a lovely older gentleman (I'm confident he is Irish) while posting flyers for a 3 bedroom apt on 234th Street. Having said that, he immediately approached me with intentions of assisting me in finding quality people to occupy our apt. He began teeling me stories about Woodlawn's History.
